John Randolph Jackson, 73,entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2017 at Henrico Doctors Hospital (Forest Campus), Richmond, Virginia.
John, better known as "Johnny", was educated at John J. Wright School in Spotsylvania County. He accepted Christ and was baptized at a very early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In February 1965, he married Vernell Jackson and from that union, one daughter, Althalia Vernice Jackson (Niecy), was born.
He leaves cherished memories to one daughter, "Niecy" Butcher (Damon); lifetime friend, Vernell E. Jackson; three sisters, Mary Rollins (Richard), Dorothy Marshall and Susie Bell; two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Lucille Jackson; one brother-in-law, Melvin Pendleton and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Walter Jackson; three sisters, Margaret Jordon, Frances Lewis and Earnestine Pendleton.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 16 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
