Jeffery McKenzie Wright, Sr. of Spotsylvania, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA after a motorcycle accident.

Jeff was born June 1st, 1962, to the late Wilton Wright, Jr. (fondly known as Dickie) and Ardene N. Wright (fondly known as Dean).

Jeff graduated from Caroline High School in 1981 in Caroline County, VA. Jeff accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church, Woodford, VA.

Jeff was a very friendly person, and he could strike up a conversation with anyone. Passing people on the street always greeting them "Hey Cuz" even though he didn't know them.  Once you met him you had a friend for life. Jeff loved talking and knew something about everything (he thought). He loved sports, of course his favorite football team was the Washington Commanders, he could remember who played and the scores for each team. Watching TV, having many different animals, and going fishing with his cousin Ricky Anderson are just a few of his many things he enjoyed doing. He was an avid baseball player for years on different teams in Caroline County.

Most importantly Jeff loved spending time with his children, family and friends. Every time he was with his children he would always say, "I had the best day with my kids." He truly enjoyed family gatherings, catching up with everyone and enjoying life.

Jeff worked at Richfood Dairy in Richmond, VA for 30 plus years. After moving to Spotsylvania, VA. he started working for Spotsylvania County School System.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memories sons Brandon Wright, Goochland, VA, Jayvonte Childs, Ruther Glen, VA, Jeffery Wright, Jr. (Jaz), Richmond, VA, Alexander Jeffery Wright (AJ), Richmond, VA, Wilton Wright, Richmond, VA, and one daughter Wynter Wright, Richmond, VA., 2 grandchildren Royal Faith Carter Wright, Brandon Wright, Jr. One sister Mary Annette Boulware (David) of Spotsylvania. One niece DeAndra Boulware, Spotsylvania, VA. One nephew David Jermaine Boulware, Spotsylvania, VA. Loving Lifetime Friend Chante Alexander, Richmond, VA, One Goddaughter JoLisa Caine, Ladysmith, VA. One God sister Yolanda Gray, Ruther Glen, VA., Three great nieces and a host of relatives and friends,

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Ebenezer Baptist Church 18562 Countyline Church Rd. Ruther Glen, VA  22546 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at H & L Brown Family Cemetery 6100 Cedon Rd. Woodford, Va. 22546.
