Jean Washington Cooper, 75, of Ruther Glen, Va., departed her earthly home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Fredericksburg, Va.

She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Karen Jefferson of San Antonio, Texas; Jeanne Wright of Ruther Glen, Virginia; Keith Wright (Cathy) of Norfolk, Virginia; Kevin Wright (Dianne) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; and Bernadette Smith of Ruther Glen, Virginia; two brothers: Albert Beverly and Mentha Beverly (Dorothy Mae) both of Washington, D. C.; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at St. John Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. W. G. Berryman, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
