Jamie Lougusta Jones was born July 1, 1981, in Harvey, Illinois to James and Carolyn C. Jones. She transitioned to her heavenly home on March 18, 2024, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Jamie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky under the leadership of Pastor O.C. Jones.

Jamie was educated in the Richmond Public Schools and furthered her education at Germanna Community College. Jamie loved entertaining and communicating with family and friends. She was a great listener and gave amazing advice.  She enjoyed reading, literature, writing poems, and playing pool. Most of all, she cherished her children who were her pride and joy and her loving mother.

Jamie was preceded in death by her father, James Jones; sister, Maggie Jones; grandparents, Garland and Maggie Coleman; Sarah Coleman Childs, and Floyd and Willie Mae Barnes.

Jamie leaves cherished memories to her son, Sean Winckler and daughter, Symphony Mendez; her devoted mother, Carolyn C. Jones; one sister, Jessica E. Jones; one brother, James (Ashley) Jones; all of Ruther Glen, Virginia; step grandfather, James Childs of Bowling Green, Virginia; a devoted niece, BreAzia R. Lewis of Ruther Glen, Virginia; six special friends, Luis Mendez, Dedric Winckler, Donald Brothers, Lissette Shannon, Darius (Von) Rogers, and Tolisha Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. James Baptist Church, 19514 Sparta Road, Milford, Virginia 22514.
