James Albert Wright, Sr. 77 entered eternal rest on August 17, 2023. He was born in Washington, D.C. on May 11, 1946 to  Edward Lee Wright, Sr. and Loretta J. Wright. He grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland. James attended Fairmont Heights High School in Fairmont Heights, Maryland and Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduation James was employed as a salesman in the Washington Metropolitan area. He later moved his residency to Caroline County, Virginia.

James was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Wright, Sr; and his son James Albert Wright, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Theodore of Washington, D.C., mother, Loretta J. Wright of Woodford, Virginia; grandchildren, Devante Wright, Ayshya Wright, Shalaya Wright, Trevon Wright, Nadja Theodore and Tanard Theodore; brother, Edward Lee Wright, Jr (Carolyn) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Karen Wright Henderson of Woodford, Virginia; two nieces; one great niece and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.
