James "TC" Totten, Jr., 66, of Bowling Green, Virginia, departed this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

He was the son of the late Irene and James Toliver Totten, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife and caregiver, Alva Totten; one son, Jamie Totten of Spotsylvania; two grandchildren, Nekia S. Parker of Hampton and Jaime "Jay" Totten, Jr. of Spotsylvania; one brother, Bowie Totten of Richmond; one sister, Drucilla Womack of Danville; one brother-in-law, John Childs and his wife of Bowling Green; one sister-in-law Juliet Freeman and her husband Wesley of Milford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 26, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, at St. James Baptist Church, 19154 Sparta Road, Milford, VA. 22514 with the pastor, Rev. Dr. Charles F. Baugham delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
