James Lewis Ross, 73, (formerly of Caroline County) entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Elmora Hills Health Care and Rehab Center, Elizabeth, New Jersey.
James Lewis Foster-Ross was born on October 12, 1939, to the late Lillie Foster-Ross and Moses Ross, Sr.
He received his formal education in the Caroline County School system. Later he moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey where he worked and retired from his full-time job after thirty-five years of service.
James was a quiet, caring and loving person that always had a good word for you to do the right thing. He always showed love to his family and friends. James was proceded in death by his bother Moses Ross, Jr. "June", his mother Lilly Foster-Ross and father Moses Ross, Sr.
James leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted sister, Virginia Jones; one brother-in-law, Howard Jones, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Second Baptist Church, 26725 Ruther Glen Road, Ruther Glen, Virginia. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
