James Richard Kay, 65, of Woodford, Virginia, departed this life on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

"Richard" was born on March 15, 1945 in Port Royal, Virginia, to the late Robert Allen Kay and Dorothy Green Kay.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories; 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters, 10 brothers, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour before the service on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Caroline County Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514, with Rev. Otis L. Kay, Sr., delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Mt. Lawn Cemetery in Woodford, Virginia
