James Benjamin "Bennie" Howard, 66, of Milford, Virginia departed this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Bennie served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on May 11th, 1962.

Bennie was united in holy matrimony to Brenda K. Reed on August 19, 1978.

Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda on March 18, 2003 and by a daughter, Tammy Ann Wong in 2004.

Bennie loved to garden and paint. Bennie was self employed as a painter for many years.

Bennie leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Ronald "Ronnie" Joseph Wong and one daughter, Jamie Kay Elliott, four grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Salem Baptist Church, Milford, Virginia with Rev. Kevin James, Pastor, officiating.

Viewing will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
