James C. Childs, 77, formerly of Caroline County, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Augustus and Ethel Pearl Childs.

Survivors include his son, James (and Cheryl) Womack; daughters: Gloria (and Ernest) Frager, Lisa (and Anthony) Johnson, Joann Womack and Diane Fowler; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Caroline Stubbs, Shirley Latney, Gladys Arnold, Delores Smith and Evelyn Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 103 Ennis Street, Bowling Green, Virginia with Rev. Kevin Childs, Pastor, officiating. Viewing will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia.
