Jacquelyn affectionately known as "Jackie" departed this life on January 29, 2018 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Byrd, Sr. and Mable W. Byrd of Woodford, Virginia and the late Rudolph Bill Smith.

Jackie joined Beulah Baptist Church at an early age and was a graduate of Union High School in Caroline County, Virginia. She was a loving mother that adored her son. She loved her family and had a willing and giving personality to everyone.

Jackie worked at Spotsylvania County Schools until her health begin to decline.

Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers; Andrew Byrd, Jr. and Levert Smith; one sister, Patricia Ann Byrd and one brother-in-law Robert A. Jackson, Sr.

She leaves cherished memories to her loving and devoted son, Keith R. Wright of Washington, D.C.; a devoted significant other, Medford Turner of Ruther Glen, Virginia; five loving and dedicated siblings; Carolyn Jackson and Debra Smith, both of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Ronald Byrd (Phyllis) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Ricky Byrd of Woodford, Virginia and Gaetano Smith (Phyllis) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four devoted aunts, Lelia Carter of Woodford, Virginia, Cora Coates and Gloria Chapman, both of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Doris Lewis of Triangle, Virginia; two sister-in-laws, Hilda Byrd of Woodford, Virginia and Gwendolyn Johnson of Stafford, Virginia; several devoted friends, Alice Smith, Mary Smith, Deidre Batton, Cindy Luck, Bertha Sims, Sharon Brown-Scott,and Rose Mary Creekmur.;a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends that will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Interment will be in H.L. Brown Family Cemetery, Cedon Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580
