Herman Clarence Cary, 77, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 14, 2008, at his home in Doswell, Virginia.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Carrie R. Carey; two daughters, Carolyn V. Woolridge of Washington, D. C. and Jill C. Harris of Prince George, VA.; five grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Carey of Philadelphia, PA.; five sisters, Ida Cheatam and Viola Davis both of Richmond, VA., Martha Harris, Virginia Winston, and Eloise Johnson all of Ruther Glen, VA.; two sons-in-law including one devoted, Randy Woolridge; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Thursay, November 20, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, VA. 22427, and at the church on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Homegoing services will be held Friday, November 21, at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 16210 Short Cut Road, Dowell, VA. 23047, with Rev. E. Richard Swann, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland, VA.
