Obituary

Henry was born June 19, 1951 to the late Harry Lee and Dorothy Mae Wilson. Henry departed this life on Thursday, November 14, 2019 peacefully in his home.

Henry found Christ at an early age and within his later years, quite often enjoyed attending Victorious Believers Community Church in Fredericksburg, VA. He received his schooling within Caroline County, VA public schools. Henry was a very hardworking man who worked for William A. Hazel Concrete for over 30 years. He worked with DTH Contract Services as an Attendant at the Rest Area in Ladysmith, VA. faithfully until his health declined. Henry enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Whenever there was a family gathering or social event, he was sure to be there. In his quiet moments at home, he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Anything was a go with "PaPa". In his earlier years he loved riding motorcycles, playing horse shoes, corn hole and shooting pool. He was known for saying "the lies you tell" if you said something he didn't agree with or didn't like. He remained resilient throughout his battles and never complained. Even through his storm, he gave hope and strength to all around him. He never was one to show weakness or pain, often saying "I'm okay or I'm alright". He lived everyday to the fullest. Henry will be missed but never forgotten. We loved him, but GOD loved him best, so he called him home to the place he has prepared for us.

Henry leaves to cherish him his devoted wife Gloria, two daughters Ashley and Kewisa Wilson; four grandchildren, Makieh and Amiyah Brown, Mia and Ma'Kari Young; four brothers, Harry (Brenda) of Annapolis, MD, Mark of Fredericksburg, VA, Bruce (Priscilla) of Richmond, VA and Cornell (loyal) (Diane) Wilson of Ruther Glen, VA; four sisters, Mary Ellen Woolfolk (James) of Ruther Glen, VA, Larkett White (Rick) of Fredericksburg, VA, Roxanne Davis (loving and devoted) (Emmett) of Suffolk, VA, and Amy Wilson of Ruther Glen, VA; three brothers-in-law, Claude (Jackie) , Vernon Giles of Woodford, VA and Alvin Toliver of Wheaton, MD; four sisters-in-law Hilda Byrd of Woodford, VA , Bridgett (Norman) Donald of Ruther Glen, VA, Virginia Giles of Fredericksburg, VA and Donna Wilson of Bowling Green, VA; one aunt Sarah Childs, two uncles Brent Childs and Eddie Monroe, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a devoted neighbor/friend Jimmy Samuels. He was preceded in death by a loving sister Deloris Wilson Toliver (Alvin) and three brothers, Harold, Ronnie and Gregory  Wilson; four brothers-in-law, Curtis , James (Archie), Rupert (aka Billy) and Maxie Giles; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Reynolds and Hazel Banks.
