Grace Lucille Golden departed this life on Monday, March 4, 2013, at the ManorCare Imperial in Richmond, Va. surrounded by her loving family.
Grace was born July 1, 1939 in King William, Virginia. The daughter of the late Robert S. Golden and Helen Holmes Golden.
Lucille gave her life to the Lord at an early age when she joined Providence Baptist Church.
Lucille loved and enjoyed helping others, along with her flare and eye for fashion. It was no surprise that retail would be her calling. She worked as a Retail Associates for more than 30 years before she retired in 1999. Although she stopped working she never stopped making those famous marble cakes.
She was preceded in death by her brother Walter E. Golden.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Anthony J. and Emmanuel P. Golden of Richmond, Va., One daughter, Stacie M Golden of Chesterfield, Va., Three grandchildren, Jovan A. and LaShronda Cox of Richmond, VA and Shan'Jae M. Golden of Chesterfield, VA., One Aunt Nettie M. Holmes of Aylett, VA., One daughter in law Jeorgi A. Golden of Chesterfield, VA, devoted cousins Edna Brown of Washington, DC, Margaret Robinson and Elsie Washington of Aylett, VA and Denise Robinson of Richmond, VA and a host of relatives and friends.
