Gloria Elizabeth Rhodes. 59, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Gloria was born October 13, 1955, in Bedford, Virginia to the late Louella and Bernard Rhodes.

She joined church at an early age. She attended Caroline County Public Schools and graduated from Bowling Green Senior High in 1975.

Gloria was employed at Kellers Aluminum in Milford where she remained until the plant closed. Then she was hired at Bowling Green Health and Rehab Center in Bowling Green where she remained until her death.

She leaves cherished memories to her devoted daughter, Chevonne Rhodes (John Abrams, III); a loving son, Lamonte Rhodes; one granddaughter, Te'Sia Stevens; one brother, Wilburn Winfred Rhodes (Cynthia Robinson); one brother-in-law, Herman Samuel (Landas); three aunts, Mable Cunningham, Lucy Rhodes, and Jean Herbert; two uncles, John Floyd, Sr. and Robert Herbert, six nephews,Orlanda Tyree Rhodes (Martina), Adrian Fox, Tristan Fox, Wilburn Winfred Rhodes, Jr., Lamar Stuart and Quame Green; one great nephew, Orlanda Tyree Rhodes, Jr.; devoted friends and a host of other relatives and friends. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Louella (Big Baby) and Bernard Rhodes; her brother, Carlton Rhodes (CB); her sister, Sherry Samuel (Lil Bit); her son, Tyrone Rhodes (Roc)and a nephew, Shawn Samuel.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 6, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Saturday.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon Saturday, March 7, at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 9450 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. Grasty delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
