Gladys Reynolds, 89, of Woodford, Virginia, departed this life peacefully and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 8:30 p.m. at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, Virginia. She was born June 4, 1924, to the late Aubrey and Evelyn Reynolds in Caroline County, Virginia.

She attended school in Caroline County. She joined Old Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mica, Virginia, at an early age under the leadership of Reverend E. L. R. Guss. Later she moved her membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, Virginia, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. S. H. Carter. Gladys attended Bethlehem until her health began to fail.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories, four sisters, Carrie N. Baker of Woodford, Virginia, Helen Reynolds of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Mary Graves and Lessie P. Reynolds of Woodford, Virginia; two brothers, Aubrey Reynolds, Jr. of Woodford, Virginia and Charles F. Reynolds of Maryland; one sister-in-law, Gloria Reynolds and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia.
