Gladys Louise Donald Pollard was born in Waterproof, Louisiana on October 17, 1951 to the late Dilca Rogers-Donald and Willie Donald, Sr. She departed this life on December 29, 2021.

During her time on earth Gladys worked different jobs as a CNA for Bowling Green Nurse and Rehabilitation as well as the Landfill Gate Attendant for the County of Caroline. She enjoyed being surrounded by good friends and family as well as traveling and eating out. Gladys favorite motto was  "To Think Before You Speak" and " If People Don't Like you Fudge'em" LOL.

During the blizzard of 1978 in Providence, Rhode Island, Gladys met the love of her life, Sandy Pollard of Bowling Green, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Susie Robinson and her husband, Willie; brothers, Willie Donald, Jr; James Donald and Truman Donald.

Gladys is survived by the love of her life, her loving husband of forty three years, Sandy Pollard,  four children; Michael Donald, Emanuel Donald (Chantee Bland), CaSandra Donald and DeAnna Donald-Charles (Oliver Charles); nine grandchildren; one god-daughter, Tatiana Carter; three sisters, Edna Betty Donald of Texas, Gloria Jean Donald-Akinsulire, Mona Donald of Ohio; two brothers, Norman and Jeffrey Donald  both  of Providence, Rhode Island; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE: Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in  Evergreen Cemetery, Wrightsville Road, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427

Due to COVID-19 a  mask  or face covering will be required.
