Geraldine L. Roye, 93, of Caroline County, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, Virginia.

Geraldine Louise Roye was born June 17, 1921 to the late Benjamin and Beatrice Frye in Caroline County, Va. She graduated in 1942 from Union High School.

Geraldine accepted Christ at an early age and remained a lifetime member at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bowling Green, Va. While at Shiloh she served on the usher and missionary ministries.

Geraldine was a beautiful woman who was full of affection and love and loved cooking and baking to please other people especially her pies and rolls. As she greeted you, she would say "what you know good"?

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Walter W. Roye grandson, Darryl M. Smith and sister Rosie E. Redd.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory one son Robert B . Roye (Martha) one daughter A. Patricia Carter (Melvin) a devoted grandson LaMond Roye (Jennifer) 4 other grandchildren LaSha Smith, Tanya Baker, Melvin Carter, Jr.,Tracey L. Jones (Stacey) 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A adopted granddaughter Tiffany Wheeler ( O'Neil). A host of nieces and nephews one devoted nephew James L. Redd (Virginia). Special friends Eloise Frye, Audrey and Gordon Torrence.


A viewing will be held from 12 noon to 8:00 P.M. on Friday January 16, 2015 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church 127 South Main St. Bowling Green, Va.

Interment will be at Glen Haven Memory Garden, Stafford, Va.
