Fraulein Coleman Lowe, 90, of Milford, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Mrs. Lowe was an educator in the Caroline County School System and later at Virginia State University until her retirement in 1983.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Walter E. Lowe, Sr,; one son, Walter E. Lowe, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Michigan; two sisters, Otelia Redman of Silver Springs, Maryland and Loureve Bryant of Charlottesville, Virginia; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2009, from noon to 4 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church.

The funeral will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with Rev. Dr. W. G. Berryman delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
