Frank Seth Patterson, Sr., 74, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Frank was the fifth child among six children born to the late Robert Patterson and Mary Allotey, in Accra-Ghana on April 11, 1940.

Frank was baptized as a young man and loved attending church. He attended and graduated from Radio Ghana Technical School, West Africa in 1958.

Frank was a man of many interest. Being of service to friends, family and the community remained a core value within his life. On November 18, 1978, he graduated from the Metropolitan Police Academy, assigned to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Bureau of Security. He was very active in the Campbell's Creek Crime Watch and D.A.R.E.programs. He would later go on to be appointed to the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. where he provided security and protection for the nation's most valuable paintings and art work. In October 2005, Frank worked for the Caroline County Sheriff's office, as a bailiff, looking after prisoners and maintaining order in the court. He was a soccer (futbol) coach for both the Caroline and Stafford Recreational Leagues.

As Frank retired, never idle, he would find enjoyment working at Sonic, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he managed maintenance issues and depository services for the chain.

Frank leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Mark Patterson, Simmon Patterson, Ni Okai Patterson, Frank Patterson, Jr, Romeo Patterson, Simmon Patterson, Ni Okai Patterson, Frank Patterson, Jr., Romeo Patterson, Prince Michael Patterson; daughters, Rosetta Patterson, Marizia Patterson-Lopez, Renay Neely, Sierra Sylies; grandchildren Isaiah, Alezha, Hassan, Jazlyn, Prince, Jr., Michaela, Devon, Cierra, Jordan, Noah, Emanual, Iyana, Ahliah, Alex, Dominique, Sydni, Roshun, Tyrell, Mathew Jr., Jasiah, Jordan; great grandchildren, Sebastian and Mariah; brothers, Emmanuel Pappoe and David Tagoe; nieces, Diana Pappoe, Sai Stella Pappoe-Simmons, Cynthia Pappoe-Brown; newphe, Michael Pappoe and a host of other relatives and friends.
