Obituary

Frank Carter Coleman was born December 31, 1940, to the late Trip Coleman, Sr. and Lealia Brooke Johnson Coleman. He entered eternal peace on Monday, June 7, 2021

Frank was educated in the Caroline County School System and graduated from Union High School. He went on to work for the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Rockville, Maryland for more than twenty years. He later retired and moved back home to Caroline County, Virginia.

Frank was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, the late Dorothy Mae Lindsey. To this union, two children were born, Timothy and Karen Renee Coleman, both of whom preceded him in death.

Frank was a very loving, caring and devoted husband, brother, father, uncle and grandfather to his wife and family until his health began to fail. He loved fishing, camping and traveling the open waters in his boat or riding looking for adventure in his motor coach (RV).

In addition to his parents, wife and children, Frank was also preceded in death by three brothers, Trip Coleman, Jr., George "Pete" Coleman, and Charles "Popeye" Coleman and a sister, Mary McManus.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a brother, Harry Coleman of Bowling Green, Virginia; three grandchildren, Kimberli Coleman of Germantown, Maryland, Stephen Goldberg of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Alan Goldberg of Bowling Green, Virginia; four sisters-in-law, Ethel Easley, Thelma Neal (William), Ruth Thornton Coleman, and Lucille Coleman; six brothers-in-law, Donald "Buck", James "Totten" (Anne), Richard (Geraldine), Russell (Reacie), Phil (Sandra), and Clyde, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
