Francis Douglas, 42, peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and devotion to family and friends. Born on August 16, 1983, Francis was the beloved son of Janet Douglas and Joseph Douglas (Janice Shockley).

Francis was a devoted husband to Bianca Douglas and a proud father to Mia Adkins (Brian Adkins), Tariq Riley, and Jaila Douglas, and grandchildren McKenzi and Mckari Adkins all of whom he loved deeply and cherished beyond measure. Family meant everything to him, and he dedicated his life to supporting and caring for those he loved.

He was also a loving grandson to Clarice Mcqueen, brother to Terrance Douglas, Kenny Lewis, Nicole Lewis, Marlon Douglas, and Andre Amason. Francis leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, extended family members, and close friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Francis was previously well known in his community as a barber, a profession he took pride in and used not only as a craft to earn a living but as a way to connect with people. Through his chair, he built friendships, shared wisdom, laughter, and conversation, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and genuine heart made him loved by many.

Francis will be remembered for his resilience, his love for family, and the way he always found his way back to the people who mattered most. Though he is no longer physically present, his memory and impact will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the C.W Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with  a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
