Floyd L. Berry, Jr. better known as "Lenboy" went from labor to reward at home on June 26, 2022 quietly and peacefully with his family by his side.  He was born in King & Queen County on June 1, 1939 to the late Floyd Sr and Daisy Berry then later moved to Milford, VA where he attended Caroline County Public Schools until a childhood illness left him deaf. He then attended the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind in Hampton, VA where he graduated as a licensed barber. He returned home and worked in Lucille Shepherd's Barber Shop in Bowling Green, VA. He moved on to work at the Alliance Fertilizer Plant in Milford, VA. In 1963, Lenboy met and married Patricia 'D.D.' Tobin, and during that union a daughter was born. He also stepped in to raise her daughter and 2 sons. He also worked at Genstar in Milford, VA, he later worked at Quantico Marine Base until he retired in April of 2001.

Lenboy always had a love for the vibration of music, motorcycles, fishing, boat riding and spending time with his daughter. He was a quiet and peaceful man who stayed to himself in his later years. He stayed in touch with his friends from school via text and went to his annual cookout with his classmates until his health started to fail. He was very good at reading lips; we had a joke to say if you don't want him to know you better turn your head and cover your mouth. 😊

We know he was loaned to us for a little while, but he lived a good long and full life. We will miss him dearly and the memories we shared will be in our hearts forever.

Lenboy, leaves to cherish his loving and devoted daughter who took great care of him until the end, Pamela Berry (Mutt) of Ruther Glen, VA; loving daughter, Kim Cobb of Woodford, VA; loving son Keith Cobb (Melissa) of Temple Hills, MD, Dwain Cobb of Baltimore, MD; loving grandsons Dontario 'Trae' Weeden (Jasmine), Maurice Reid, Antoine Shepherd, Jamal Shepherd of Ruther Glen, VA, Dwain Cobb, Jr of Phenix City, AL; loving granddaughters, Tiffany Wilson of Fredericksburg, VA, Meshonda Cobb of Bowling Green, VA and Talaya Shepherd of Woodford, VA; precious great granddaughter A'vree Weeden and a host of other great grandchildren who affectionately called him Papa; a loving sister Cheryl Ashton; and loving niece Chenara Abrams both of King George, VA;  devoted ex-wife and friend Patricia B. Young of Bowling Green, VA; devoted friend Lawrence Chapman, Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 02, 2022 at Caroline Community Services Building. 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in First Mt Olive Baptist Church, 17820 Newtown Road, Newtown, Virginia 23126
