Obituary

Eva Lee Parker was born September 29. 1938, to the late Henry Taylor and Alberta Taylor. She departed this earthly life on August 14, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital. Eva received her education in Caroline County Public Schools.

Eva was married to the love of her life and her forever husband, Willie Parker Jr. They were joined in holy matrimony on September 3, 1955, and from this union, nine children were born. She loved being a housewife and babysitting. She always had children in her house whether it was her grandkids, neighbor's kids, or kids of the family. She enjoyed cooking for the family, when you came to her home, she always had something on the stove or in the oven. She loved her cakes and pies. Towards the end she always looked forward to eating with her son-in-law, Kenneth Johnson (Carmen) which he enjoyed as well. She was a woman who loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Willie "Bill", Father Henry Taylor, Mother Alberta Taylor, Sisters Lucy Mae, Ruth, Francis, and Brothers, John Robert, Joe, and Gabriele, Grandson Delarn "Neil"; devoted Sister-in-law Elizabeth Cephas and Brother-in-law Aurbrey.

Eva leaves cherished and precious memories to, eight daughters Veronica "Bo" Taylor-Spencer (Clifton Derricott) of Richmond, Va, Carmen Johnson (Kenneth), Marilyn Peatross, Marcia Jones (Derrick), and Kathy Stevens (Payton) of Ruther Glen, Linnette Johnson (Kenneth) and Freda Johnson of Woodford Virginia, Jill Washington (Arthur) of Bowling Green Virginia. One son Kenneth Parker (Patty) of Spotsylvania Virginia; Twenty Grandchildren, Forty-Six Great-Grandchildren; Six Great-Great Grandchildren; Three sisters, Linda Taylor, Florence Tate and Marion Henderson; one brother Richard Taylor, one devoted sister-in-law Inez Woolfolk and a devoted cousin and friend Ruth Wilson and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

"We think of you in silence, we often speak your name, but all we have are memories, and your picture in a frame." "Mum, your kindness knew no end, your love, a gift we'll always defend." "Your laughter, your warmth, your love so true, Mum, not a day goes by that we don't miss you."

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9132 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580, with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery, 13121 Woodford Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580.

Services have been entrusted to C. W. Edwards Funeral Home.
