Esther Ruth Boone, 103, departed this life on Friday, December 26, 2008, at her home in Ruther Glen, Virginia. She was born August 15, 1905, to the late George and Amelia Toliver.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son George Claiborne; one daughter, Frances Claiborne; three grandchildren, Carl S. Robinson, Sr., Patricia Robinson and Karen Feldman; one great grandchild, Michelle Mines; two nephews, two nieces, four great nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 30, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. There will also be a viewing at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31, at 11 a.m. at Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Zion Road, Ruther Glen, VA. 22546 with the Pastor, Rev. Duane Fields delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
