Ernest Glover Samuel, Sr., affectionately known to many as "Tubb", 76, of Kissimmee, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 17, 2020 with his son by his side.

Tubb was born September 23, 1944 in Caroline County to the late Glover "Buster" Samuel and Cora Childs. He joined St John's Baptist Church, in Milford, Virginia, at an early age. He received his education in the Caroline County Public School system. He worked in several different industries but found his true career love later in life, food catering.

Tubb was known for his smile and everyone who knew him, considered him "the nicest man in the world". He loved watching wrestling and his Dallas Cowboy football team.

Tubb was preceded in death by his wife Celeste Dixon Samuel, whom he joined in holy matrimony on May 17, 1986, and two brothers, Moses Samuel and Bernard "Huckabuck" Samuel.

He leaves fond and cherished memories to his only son Ernest Jr. (Carrie), two grandchildren, Julien and Logan; a stepson George Allen Dixon; his sisters Yvonne Smith, Patricia Walker (James), Connie Gray (Rodney) and Elsa Monroe; his brother Sylvester "Steve" Samuel; his stepfather, Eddie Monroe; his uncle, Brent Childs (Ann); his aunt Ann Smith; four sisters-in-law Helen Samuel, Jairline Samuel, Shaunta Pendelton and Samantha Callahan; three brothers-in-law, Paul Pendelton, Jr., Kenney Pendelton and Jeffrey Pendelton; two foster children, Rhyshelle Pavon (Nestaly) and Treyvon Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A memorial will be held in his honor on January 23, 2021 at 2 pm at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia  22427
