Eleanor Elaine Fortune Jackson, 87, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Bowling Green, Virginia entered eternal rest on January 7, 2017 at the Capital Caring Hospice of Washington, D.C.

She was born in Bowling Green, Virginia to Wellington " Will" Fortune and Ethel Courtney.

Eleanor leaves behind her loving husband, Andrew Jackson, six children; Anthony, Tina, Ronald, Roger, Julie and David as well as her wonderful grandchildren, sisters and other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January, 16, 2017 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia
