Elaine Catherine Cole was born Catherine Elaine Cole to the late David A. Cole, Sr. and Catherine Cole on February 6, 1949 in Beaverdam, Virginia.  She departed this life on Monday, December 23, 2024 in Beaverdam, Virginia.  Elaine was educated in the Spotsylvania County schools and graduated from Spotsylvania Senior High School in the Class of 1969.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Beaverdam, Virginia where she attended.  Elaine was employed by the U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense: U.S. Army and U.S. Navy for many years; she was a substitute teacher for Spotsylvania County and the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia.  She also worked in food services at Mary Washington Hospital and McDonald's; Kings Dominion; and waitress at multiple restaurants including, Aunt Sarah's Pancake House, Golden Corral and Ryan's Buffet to name a few.

Elaine was proceeded in death by her parents David A. Cole, Sr. and Catherine Cole; her younger brother, William A. Cole; and sister-in-law, Janice Cole.  She is survived by her three brothers Curtis H. Price (Irish) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Chester L. Cole (Yvonne) of Suitland, Maryland; and David A. Cole, Jr. of Temple Hills, Maryland.  Elaine leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, VA
