Edmund Childs, 53, of Milford, Va. entered into eternal sleep on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at the Louisa Healthcare Center in Louisa, Va.
Edmund was born June 25, 1956, to the late Eliza Lee and Walker Childs, Sr.
Survivors include one aunt, Bessie Lee of Port Royal; one uncle, Amos Lee of Supply; one nephew, "LT" Walker Childs, III; one aunt-in-law, Martha Lee of Rappahannock Academy; one sister-in-law, Lou Ethel Childs and a hosts of cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Walker Childs, Jr. and one sister, Annie M. Childs.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, from noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before service on Wednesday at the church.
A celebration of life will be held at St. James Baptist Church, Milford on Wednesday, December 30 at 12 noon with the Rev. Dr. Charles F. Baugham delivering the eulogy. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
