Earl Vernon Evans entered into eternal rest on October 26, 2021. He was born to the late Earl and Clara Evans in Winter Haven , Florida. He was educated in the Camden , New Jersey public schools. He later joined the Army where he served six years. Earl later met and married the love of his life, Brenda Mae and they were married for forty six years. He retired in 2009 from Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Cherry Hill, New Jersey as a boiler room operator.

What is there to say about a man who was tall, broad shouldered, sharp dressed, who walked with strides of confidence and loved his wife and his family! He was the kind of father who sent you to the corner store and allowed you to keep the change.  When he walked his kids to the store, the Younge  Street rode on his shoulders, the next to the youngest had her hand in his back pocket while the older kids walked at his side.

He enjoyed playing board games with his children and grandchildren.  His all time favorite game was playing spades and based on how bad he was losing, somehow he would suddenly have less cards than everyone else, (LOL) not to worry though, his missing cards would mysteriously show up in his lap or on the floor under his chair.(LOL) One of his other hidden talents was story-telling, like the time he flew to Germany on the wings of an eagle.  There was no stretch of the imagination about his culinary skills.  Popeye's, Bojangles, or Church's Chicken could not hold a torch to his fried chicken. Earl was sometimes called "Brunson" and affectionately called "Bunny Rabbit" by his mom.

Other than his parents one brother Joseph Evans preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Brenda, five children; Lanette (Buck), Mimi (Jannaro), Keinyatta, Ava (Faheem) and Born (Kala); thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren with one on the way. Two brothers; Terry Evans and Isaac Evans; four sisters, Beverly Walker, Cynthia McCain, Ava Evans and Gwana Davis (John) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Faith Christian Center World Outreach, 10606 Benchmark Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wrightsville Road, Bowling Green, Virginia. 22427.

A mask or face covering is required for the services.
