Dorothea Cornelia Lampkins, affectionately known as "Dot" was born on September 11th, 1927 in Max Meadows, VA. She was the third child born to the late Reverend Everett and Edith Lampkins. On Tuesday, August 6th, 2013, Dot went home to be with the Lord.

Dot was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia where she served on and the Flower Club and the Hospitality Committee. While serving on the Flower Club, she held positions as President, Vice-President and Treasurer.

Dot was preceded in death by her sister, Rosie Lee Lampkins and two brothers, James D. Lampkins and Ulysses Lampkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Terry Lampkins and Charles R. Lampkins, Sr. (Teresa); seven grandchildren, Lakeisha Reed (Stanley), Teresa, Tiffany, Tiana Clarke, Charles R. Lampkins II, Cherese Lampkins, Christinn Lampkins; four great grandchildren, Conner, Bailey, Amari, Kaydain; one brother, Edward, eight sisters, Roberta, Gertrude, Mildred, Gladys, Patty, Nancy, Wanda, Diane, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 12th at Sharon Baptist Church, 22 East Leigh Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
