Doris gained her heavenly wings on January 13, 2024, in Henrico, Virginia. She was born on July 3, 1953, to Perry and Viola Grannage. She was married to the late Charles Otis Minor, Sr.

Doris was a native of Spotsylvania, Virginia where she attended Spotsylvania County public schools. She was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Doris was a faithful and honorary member of Gospel of Deliverance Evangelistic Church as an usher and Evangelist. She absolutely loved the Lord and didn't mind spreading the word of God. She adored gardening and loved planting flowers at her church. Doris would give her last and opened her home to help someone in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Viola Grannage, her grandmother, Sally Tyler (Tootsie), her husband Charles O. Minor, Sr.; two sons, Charles A. Minor and Daniel L. Minor.

Doris is survived by her nine children, Ramonda Carter (Rodney) of Milford, Virginia, Robert Coleman, Jr. of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Thresa Johnson (Andre) of Odenton, Maryland, Latonya Oliver (Jason) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Sadarnie Coleman, Charles Otis Minor, Jr., Boyd Minor, Aaron Minor and Benjamin Minor all of Spotsylvania, Virginia. She also leaves behind thirty-eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Homegoing service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Caroline Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Lawn Cemetery, 9327 Woodford Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580.
