Donald K. Evans, of Richmond, Virginia, (formerly of Bowling Green), went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Donald was born September 24, 1958, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late John W. Evans, Sr. and Mildred Ann Baylor.
Donald was educated in Caroline County Public Schools and was a graduate of Caroline High School. Shortly after graduation, Donald moved to Richmond where he resided most of his life. He was employed at Color-Tree for many years and drove trucks for various companies until his health failed.
Donald leaves loving memories to his sister, Deborah Childs and her husband, John, of Bowling Green; four brothers, William Jenkins and his wife Myra of Bowling Green, John Evans and his wife Debbie of Milford, Eugene Evans of Fredericksburg, Gerald Totten and his wife Clara of Danville; an adopted sister, Nicole Freeman of Ladysmith.
A viewing will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
A celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, at Bethel Baptist Church, 103 Ennis Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with Rev. Kevin Childs delivering the eulogy. Burial will be private.
