On June 11,2013 our beloved De'Onte Clayton Jones went onto glory. He was a handsome and humble young man who had a quiet, serious demeanor but gentle as a lamb toward his family and close friends. On December 9,1990, David and Marites Jones were blessed by God to witness the birth of their third son, De'Onte Clayton Jones.
At an early age
Do'Onte gave his heart to Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. His parents were dedicated in encouraging him and his siblings to be an active member of the New Generation Gospel Choir, which was directed by Mrs. Shirley Robinson and Doc Christan.
As De'Onte grew in stature it was evident that he was a natural and gifted athlete. By the time he reached middle school,he was actively involved with playing his favorite sport, football. He became an excellent football player in high school and graduated and received acceptance to attend and play college football at Virginia State University in Petersburg Virginia. De'Onte was looking forward to successfully completing his studies and graduating in December 2013. His ultmate goal was to graduate from college with a 4.0 GPA as an honors student and become a criminal justice lawyer.
