Delonte Wendell Taylor, affectionately called, "Tae", was born January 19, 1987, in Caroline County Virginia, to Viola A. Taylor and Kenneth Welch. He entered eternal rest on August 13, 2024, at his home in Woodford, Virginia.

Delonte was educated in the Caroline County Public schools. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mount Tabor Church in Milford Virginia. He was faithful in reading the Word of God and had a personal relationship with the Lord.

Delonte was employed at CVS Distribution Center as a security guard for several years. He was a family man who loved everyone and would often tell his family and cousins, "I love you" and always smiled and said, "you better know it."

Delonte was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Evelyn and Willie Welch, Sr., his maternal grandfather, Clinton A. Taylor, Sr., one nephew, Kyor Taylor, and recently lost his Uncle Willie Welch, Jr. (Pedro).

Delonte leaves cherished memories to his son, Kristopher Eura; his mother, Viola A. Taylor of Woodford, Virginia;  father, Kenneth Welch (Patricia) of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, DeAndre Taylor of  Woodford, Virginia; two sisters, KeShante Taylor of Woodford, Virginia and Kenyanna Welch of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandmother, Gracie Taylor of  Milford, Virginia;  Godmother, Leslie Anderson, and Goddaughter Zykihia Myers; three aunts, Gloria Taylor of Bowling Green, Virginia, Joyce Childs (Butch) of Milford, Virginia; and Diane Stevens (Rev. Christopher Stevens) of Ruther Glen, Virginia,  two great aunts, Fannie Washington of Bowling Green and Barbara Garnett (Ray) of  Ruther Glen, Virginia; an uncle, Patrick Taylor of Richmond, Virginia; four great uncles, Bryan Sydnor (Jenn) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nathaniel Green (Sydney) of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Kermit Green (Gloria) Richmond, Virginia, and Otis Davis, Bowling Green, Virginia; special friends, Kristy Eura and Senaca Davis, and a host of cousins and other relatives and  friends. and other relatives. Tae loved everyone.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail, Milford, Virginia 22514 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
