Debbie Lewis was born to the late Eddie Lewis and Eva Johnson Lewis on July 20, 1955, in Caroline County, Virginia. She departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Debbie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. A.P. Young. She later joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the Kitchen Committee. Debbie was educated in Caroline County Public Schools and later in life studied and received her high school diploma from Ashworth High School.  She was employed with the FBI in Quantico, Virginia for 30 years until she retired in 2017.

Debbie enjoyed talking on the phone, spending time with her family and friends, as well as shopping at various stores to receive her senior citizen's discount. Debbie was known for her famous pound cakes where family and friends travel near and far for just one slice.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Eddie, mother Eva; four brothers, Eddie Chastine, Rudolph Lewis, James Williams, and Floyd Lewis; nephew DeVaughn Baker, niece Shanta Waller and several aunts and uncles.

Her legacy lives on through her children and family. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three daughters, CaChita Wilson, twins Dominique and Desiree Waller; one grandson, Tre'Von Wilson; two sisters Lelia Baker and Diana Lewis; aunts and uncles, Bernard Lewis (Helen), Charles Lewis, Emma Lou Christopher and James Morris Sr.; nieces and nephews, Amanda Baker, Shasta Lewis, Antoine Lewis, Joseph Conway, Sr. and Zackary Waller; great-nieces and nephews: Shamiah Jeter, Joseph Conway Jr., Tiayana Matthews, Zivon and Zy'Kiah Waller and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 13, 2024, at Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9132 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Lawn Cemetery, 9327 Woodford Road, Woodford, Virginia.
