Pauline R. Ware, 92, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at her residence in Bowling Green, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Clemon B. Ware in 2014 and her daughter, Catherine Diane Ware Hundley in 2013.

Pauline was born in Essex County on June 25, 1924, the youngest of three children born to the late Alphonso and Rebecca Martin Rollins.

A lifelong member of St. Stephens's Baptist Church, Central Point, Virginia where she actively served until her health declined. In her Christian journey, Pauline ran the race for the Lord in many capacities; a Deaconess preparing the communion elements, a Building Fund captain, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary officer and member, singing alto in the Senior and Sanctuary Choirs, serving on the Food Committee and most notably as a Women's day captain for sixty plus years through 2012.

Pauline's sweet and kind spirit was shown to all she met. To know her was to love her. She was a phenomenal cook; whether it was her potato salad, graham cracker pies or the infamous caramel cake, it was truly a delight to be a guest at Pauline's dinner table.

Two of her favorite songs, "If I Can Help Somebody" and " I Won't Complain" are both a true testament of her faith and how she tried to live her life.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her children, David G. Ware(Vernessa) of Milford, Virginia, Shelia W. Rollins of Bowling Green, Virginia and Al Ware (Anita) of Milford, Virginia; four grandchildren, Tia Courtney (Eugene) of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Derrick Rollins (Calandra) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, David Ware,II (Jasmine) of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Whitney Finley (Terrence) of Charlotte, North Carolina; ten great-grandchildren, Dakari Rollins, MarQuia Courtney, David Earl Ware, Devin Rollins, Davon and Dondre Courtney, Dallas Rollins, Malayla Courtney, Kchole' Richardson and Acen Ware; three sisters, Lillian Clarke of Milford, Virginia, Virginia Ali of Washington, D.C. and Mary Fraser (James) of Lexington, Massachusetts; two brothers, Melvin Byrd (Ercelle) of Milford, Virginia and Robert Rollins of Chance, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home 16476 Richmond, Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service at the church.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Stephens Baptist Church 29436 Sparta Road, Milford, Virginia 22514. Chaplain Colonel (RET) Marvin L. Mills, Sr. of Mullica Hill, New Jersey will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
