Alice B. Christopher, 89, of Bowling Green, transitioned to her eternal home on Sunday, September 27, 2009. She is the wife of the late Robert W. Christopher.

A Caroline native, Mrs. Christopher faithfully served her church, Bethel Baptist, as Trustee, Deaconess, Treasurer, Clerk, Choir member and custodian.

She is survived by five children, Jean D. Goodman of Radcliff, KY, Robert Vondell Christopher (Olga) of Virginia Beach, VA. Joyce O. Johnson (Ernest) of Richmond, VA., Wallace R. Christopher (Patty) of Bowling Green, VA., and Anita C. Christopher of Bowling Green, VA.; nineteen grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren,two cousins, Deacon James Berry and Loumell Berry, several cherished friends, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October l from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
A viewing will be held one hour before service at the church on Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2, at Bethel Baptist Church, 103 Ennis Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427, with Rev. Kevin Childs, pastor, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, VA.
