Deacon Floyd Elwood Bates, 92, of Woodford, Va. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5th at his residence. He was lovingly surrounded by his family as he made his Heavenly journey.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 10th, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11th, at First Baptist Church, Woodford, Virginia.

The celebration of life services will be officiated by; Dr. Carl Bentley, Pastor.

Interment will be in the Guss Family Memorial Cemetery which is adjacent to the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to: First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Guss Family Memorial Cemetery Fund.
