On Saturday, November 2, 2019, Daisy Elaine "Dee" Jeter Broaddus, quietly entered into eternal rest at the Bon Secours Community Hospice House, Richmond, Virginia surrounded by her loving family. Dee was born to the late William W. and Mary Bernice Beasley Jeter and was the eighth of nine children.

At an early age Dee joined the First Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Sparta, Virginia and served faithfully until her health began to fail. She served on numerous committees, Usher Ministry, Pastor Aid, Inspirational Choir, and Hospitality Committee. She was always the first one there for Sunday School. Her love for the gospel inspired her to following two groups faithfully, "The Hearts of Joy", who would stop and pick up her to go on engagements with them and "The Soul Seekers". She received her education in Caroline County and graduated from Union High School which is now the home of the Caroline Community Center.

Dee was employed by Keller Ladder for many years. Dee loved to watch baseball in person and football on tv. Watching her grandchildren play in the little league and travel ball was what she looked forward to. She was their personal cheerleader and also kept her own personal scorebook. She admired her family and being with them on Sunday after church was a highlight for her.

Dee was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Yoshida S. Broaddus, a sister, Louise Jeter, and four brothers, George, Kirk, William "Billy" and Truett.

Dee was united in holy matrimony to the late Robert S. Broaddus on April 24, 1965 and to this union one loving and devoted daughter.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her loving and devoted daughter, Andrea Lee (Donovan), St. Stephens Church, Virginia, a devoted grandson, Quinton Broaddus (Quandra), Supply, Virginia, two stepchildren that she raised as her very own, Jania Monique Pollard and Robert Broaddus (RJ). Three great grandsons, Cayden Holmes, Cobe Broaddus, Supply, Virginia and Carlton Smith III. Her devoted and caring sisters, Mary "Bertha" Jeter and Gladys "Beck" Jeter, Ruther Glen, Virginia; Mary "Tiny" McPhail, Sparta, Virginia; a devoted brother Arthur Earl Jeter, Sparta, Virginia; six sister in laws, Julia Jeter, Tappahannock, Virginia; Geneva Byrd, Mary Harvey, and Mattie Broaddus, St. Stephens Church, Virginia; Cordelia (Albert) Brown, Colonial Beach, Virginia; and Virginia (Lewis) Beasley, Sparta, Virginia; four brother in laws, Edward (Susie) Broaddus, Baltimore, Maryland; Theodore (Jacqueline) Broaddus, Penns Grove, New Jersey, Russell (Yvonne) Broaddus, Indian Neck, Virginia; and Ernest Hill, St. Stephens Church, Virginia; devoted nieces Tish Thomas, Ebony King, Geraldine Jeter, Jasmine Jeter, and Sonya Chatman; devoted nephews, Ralph Johnson, Truett Jeter, Jr. and Maurice Fortune; devoted cousin Kathleen Richards; special friends; Margie Bundy, Dorothy Jackson, Vanessa Coleman, Elizabeth Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November, 8, 2019 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 17065 Seals Road, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
