On Monday January 27, 2020 the Lord called Constance Elaine Armstead to enter the gates of heaven. She was born March 20, 1956 to the late Raymond and Vaulrie Armstead. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Elaine received her education at Virginia State School for the deaf and blind in Hampton, Virginia. She was baptized and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Supply, Virginia at an early age.

Elaine worked  for the Federal Government in Dahlgren, Virginia until her health started to decline and she decided to retire.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories; a loving and devoted son, Dorsey G. Armstead of King George, Virginia; two loving  grandsons, Dorsey G. Armstead, Jr. and Da'Keese Armstead; one devoted sister, Corliss Coleman (William) of Bowling Green, Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3207 Quarter Hill Road, Supply, Virginia 22436 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
