Clifton "Dipsey" Anderson, 79 of Bowling Green, Virginia entered eternal rest on Friday, January 5, 2017 at Bowling Green Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Dipsey was the son of the late Novella Whiten. He was raised in a home where Christ was foremost. He joined Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church at an early age and was a dedicated member and sang in the choir. His favorite hymn was Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross. If there was any work to be done in God's House Dipsey was there with a smile, and also kind and well mannered. He attended Union High School in Bowling Green, Virginia and was employed at Williamsburg Lumber Mill Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson; two uncles, Arthur and Julian Anderson.
To cherish his memories, Dipsey leaves; his aunt Maggie Johnson of New York City one cousin Lerethr Heyward of New York City; god uncle, Rick Anthony Richards of Bronx, New York and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 17247 New Baltimore Road, Milford, Virginia 22514 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Wrightsville Road, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427
