Clara Janette Mason Wright departed her earthly vessel on April 6, 2015 at her residence in Milford, Virginia. Clara was born August 30, 1922, in Hanover County, Virginia. She was the eighth of nine children born to the late Lee and Patsy Mason of Beaverdam, Virginia.

Clara is survived by her devoted daughter and caregiver, Brenda Martin, devoted son-in-law "Bucky"; grandson Dedric; granddaughter-in-law Wanda; grandchildren, Raymond and Linda from New York; sister, Beatrice; brother-in-law,
Raymond Wright; four sisters-in-law, Barbara Wright, Elsie Childs, Viola Wright and Doris Mason; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Payton; two daughters, Mable and Janette Wright; two sisters, Mary and Irene and five brothers, James, Theodore, Leroy, William and Abraham.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 9, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Friday at the church.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 10, at St. John Baptist Church. 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
