Obituary

Clara Bow George, lovingly called "Fat Granny" and "Boowa" was born to the late Curley and Martha Rollins on April 19,1941 in Caroline County Virginia.

Clara was educated in Bowling Green Virginia, where she received honors and recognition. She  married Harold George at an early age, although a short union, three cherished sons were born Harold, Tony, and Tommy. For a period, she lived in Boston, Massachusetts. She then moved back to Caroline County to help care for her sick father. Clara was also a dedicated member of the Women's Club Ministry at St. James Baptist Church. Clara had a love for reupholstering furniture, kind of like a hobby. And oh, did she love to play bingo. Clara had a deep love for her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Junior, Earl, Charles. Raymond, and Tommy Rollins; one sister: Dorothy Rollins and her eldest son Harold "Jake" George.

Clara leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Charlotte Childs; two sons Tony George (Sylvia) and Tommy George; six grandchildren, Nicole and  Jamal George and Latoya Jackson. (Shawn) Tomeka and Ebony Waller and Delano Johnson; twelve great grandchildren along with  many nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.

Celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9132  Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Woodford Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580
