Charles Carroll Williams departed this life on April 4, 2010, after a long illness at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.
Carroll was born on September 15, 1947, to the late Aubrey and Mazie Williams.
He joined Zion Grove Baptist Church at an early age where he served on the Senior Male Choir, the Usher Board and the Trustee Board until his health started to fail. He received his education in the Caroline County Public Schools. He was employed at General Products until his retirement. He was later employed at CVS Distribution Center.
Carroll leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Malinda G. Williams, one son, Corey Williams both of Bowling Green; one daughter, Mazie Johnson of Stafford; two grandsons; three granddaughters; one sister, Maxine Smith and her husband of Leon of Oklahoma City, OK; mother-in-law, Olester G. Rich of Richmond; five sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 9, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 9450 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, VA 22580. Rev. Kenneth Grasty, pastor will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
