Charles Delano Smith, Jr., affectionately known as "Gee" slipped out of our lives on Monday, January, 22, 2018. He was bon August 23, 1968 in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Gee joined Saint John Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Caroline High School. He was known as the quiet guy by those who knew him. He was quiet ...yes...but he had a big heart and loved his family.
One of his first jobs was working in construction alongside his father Charles Sr.
Gee loved to tinker with electronics. He was always connecting and rewiring his stereo, televisions and cable boxes. When he was younger one of his favorite pastimes was fishing with "Papa" at the family pond. He also loved to cook. He was known for his homemade pizza. He loved watching the cooking shows and would recreate the recipes the master chefs prepared.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Smith, Sr.
He leaves behind to honor his memory his memory his beloved wife, Debbie S. Smith; his mother Evelyn B. Smith both of Woodford, Virginia; two sisters, Lynn Y. Edwards (Michael) of Glen Burnie, Maryland and Kimberly S. Parker of (Uriah) of Douglasville, Georgia; three nieces, Ariel S. Edwards, Kyra M. Edwards and Faith C. Parker; one great niece, Gabrielle Maddox; three aunts Oneitha S. Coleman (David) of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Eleanor S. brooks of Woodford, Virginia, Bertha Smith of Woodford, Virginia; Auntie Helen Dortch (Quincy) of Fort Washington, Maryland; two uncles, Clarence S. Smith (Brenda) of Woodford, Virginia, Billy R. Smith (Stephanie) of Woodbridge, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Mary A. Pitts(Moody) of Bowling Green, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, James Larry Carneal (Debbie), Steve Craig Carneal (Teresa) and one nephew, James Richard Carneal of Milford, Virginia and a host of cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 12 Noon at Saint John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
Rev. L. Nolan Fox will deliver the eulogy and Rev. Dr. W.G. Berryman, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be private.
