Charles Franklin Roye entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Affectionately known as "Cowboy Roye Steel", Charles was born on April 15, 1952, to the late Charles Edward Roye and Matlyn G. Edwards.

He leaves to mourn, a daughter, Philarestia (Renee) Roye Easley, son, Aubrey Adolphus "Chuck" Russ; mother, Matlyn G. Edwards; one brother, Everette Green (Dianne); four sisters, Francyne Jones, Clenenteen "Tina" Byrd (Ron), Phyllis Bryant and Jenetta Hopkins (Earl); granddaughters Kanaya, Khayla and Kushanti Easley; one uncle and aunt, William and Margaret (Teese) Roye; a special loving friend, Helen Gregg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427, Tuesday, August 16, from noon to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, August 17, at 11 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580.
