Charles Andrew Coleman was set free from this world's pain and suffering on the morning of June 30, 2015 at his residence in Ruther Glen, Virginia.

On August 18, 1948, Charles arrived as the second oldest child to the late Robert Andrew Coleman Jr. and Barbara Claiborne Coleman of Ruther Glen, Virginia. He was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin L. Coleman, a sister Deborah Coleman Hamilton, and a granddaughter Porsha Coleman.

At an early age Charles accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the Reedy Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Virginia under the leadership of Reverend J. L. Hobson.

He received his education in the Caroline County School System. Later he found employment in Northern Virginia as a truck driver. As he continued to seek employment he found it at Ashland Roller Mills in Hanover County where he retired after 45 years of service.

On September 28, 1969, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Geraldine E. Samuel. Charles was affectionately known as "Charlie Brown" or "Farmer Coleman." He was an avid Cowboy fan, sometimes known by friends as "The Dallas At Home Coach." Charles was well blessed. He was multitalented. There wasn't much that he couldn't do. He was a farmer for the community, mechanic, truck driver, cook, seamstress, fisherman, and a great conversationalist and a friend to all mankind. He will be missed by all for his generosity and kindness. He loved his family and they loved him. Gone but never forgotten.

He leaves to mourn his loss; his devoted wife, Geraldine E. Coleman (Diane); four sons, Daryl (Alfreda), Darnell, Gerald, Travis (Traci); one daughter, Juliet; 16 grandchildren, Darius, Deondra, Brittany, Iesha, Gerald, Shakira, Jessica, Jada, Donavin, Lashay, Dazia, Troy, Kevin,Tiona, Dominique, and Virgil; six great grandchildren; Briasia, Kyshawn, Ke-Waun, Azia, Eli and Malik; four brothers, Oliver (Harold), Wayne, Herbert (Ricki), and Anthony; two sisters, Emily Washington (Jimmy), and Gwen Piatt; seven aunts, Evelyn Fortune, Doris Fuller, Earlene Chandler (Micheal), Ann Lea, Delores Brown (Sylvester), Arnita Booker and Fran Claiborne; father-in-law, Herman Washington; four brother-in-laws, Wayne (Nicole), Herman, Fred, and Alvin; devoted friends, Brenda Woolfolk (Miss B), Carran Lewis, Delroy Johnson, Erkine Johnson, and Julian Gwaltney; his beloved dogs, Betsy and Ball; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a zillion friends.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former tings have passed away". Revelation 21:4
