Carolyn Ann Buckner went to be with our Savior on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the age of 66.Carolyn was born on June 29, 1952 in Washington, D.C. She received her formal education through the Fredericksburg City Public School System and graduated from James Monroe High School in 1972. Carolyn at an early age accepted Jesus Christ. She attend and joined The Church of God of Prophesy in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her aunt Alberta. As a dedicated member, Carolyn participated in the Young People's Choir, and the Adult Choir. When worshipping with Zion Grove Baptist Church, members would ask her to join their Senior Choir. Carolyn was a hard worker, loving mother, and a caring person. She enjoyed being around and helping people in Fredericksburg and the Ladysmith communities. Carolyn was known for her smile, laughter, kindness and beautiful singing voice. "I Will Trust In the Lord, In Times Like These, The Little Wooded Chapel, Somewhere around God's Throne, I'm going to the Rock, Precious Lord and Amazing Grace" was among her favorite songs. She cherished the time spent with family members. Carolyn was predeceased by both her parents Cleveland Harrison, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Garnett Walker, her stepfather Clarence Walker, her brothers, Timothy Walker and Cleveland Harrison, Jr. and a very dear aunt Alberta Derby.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Albert L. Buckner, Sr. and son, Albert L. Buckner, Jr. She will be missed by her stepmother, Minnie Harrison,her six sisters: Sharon Walker,Cynthia Walker, Kathy Walker, Deborah Roberts, Rhonda Horton, and Lisa Meddlebrookes, her six brothers: Clyde Bumbrey, Elroy Harrison, Earl Harrison, Stephen Walker, Gregory Harrison, and Anthony Harrison.

In addition, Carolyn will lovingly be remembered by a special cousin, Mae Arter, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 14, 2018 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Zion Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 9450 Fredericksburg, Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580
