Betty Ann Moore, daughter of the late Annabelle and Cleotha Lewis was born August 19, 1939, in Caroline County, Virginia.  She went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025.  She was the only child.

Betty attended Dunbar High School and DC Teachers College in Washington, DC, where she met and married Arthur Ronald Moore.  From that union they had one child, Andrea Ronalda Moore.

Betty spent her entire career working for the United States Postal Service in Washington, DC.  After retirement, she returned to Caroline County with her loving mother and grandson.

She also returned to her home church, Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, Virginia, where she was a devoted and faithful servant.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Andrea Ronalda Moore; grandson, Brandon Thomas Hooker; and (5) great-grandchildren, Brendon and Brittany Hunter, Ayden, Jacob and Noemi Hooker; uncle, Wendell Wiley; aunt, Dorothy Brown; (2) loving and caring-giving cousins, Cookie Carson and Joyce Banks; a special sister-friend, Louise Cochran; a lifelong friend, Bernard Jackson along with a host of other loving and devoted cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 18562 Countyline Church Road, Ruther Glen, Virginia 22546 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
